We came here before our trip to the aquarium. I wanted to try more interesting food because we are generally not breakfast people. We ordered the clam fritter and the grilled oyster, both with house fried and eggs (over medium and scrambled).
The service was not fast. But they literally said on their menu that this is not a fast place, so I guess you can't really fault them for that. Everything took a long time - being seated, taking orders, food, check, paying. But no one seemed to be in a hurry. So we just went with it.
The food, though, was amazing. 12 hours later I'm still thinking about that clam fritter. If you never had clam fritter before I highly recommend you give it a try. The oysters were more like pan fried other than grilled. But it tasted great. The home fry was so crispy and flavorful. I don't even like potatoes and I ate more than half of it. The over medium eggs were cooked perfectly.
I highly recommend this place if you are not in a rush. -

BRING SOUP OR SALAD OUT BEFORE THE ENTRE!!! What the hell?!?
That said, food and service pretty good. All seafood deep fried unfortunately. Chowder good, thick and rich but not quite hot ( prob sat while meal cooked - why ?!?). Shrimp taco special OK but way too much onion in the pico de gallo, plus just frozen mini shrimp. Oysters good once pealed some fried breading off.
Sad can't get fresh seafood within sight of the ocean and a major fishing industry area. -

Made my annual visit to Newport. Connie is the best! She is so friendly, helpful, and is good with customers of all ages. Prices are very reasonable for the food portion, and food quality.
The sad part is this place is always empty. I'm hoping it continues to stay in business because it's still the best breakfast place in Newport and probably one of the best kept secrets as well. -

This was a fantastic breakfast. My daughter loved the bunny pancakes and we loved our meals. The biscuits were to die for, the sea food cakes were incredible and the service was super. We loved the singing coming from the kitchen. We will be back!

Small homey place. Polite staff. A little funky but I liked it. The clam chowder was very good, unfortunately the white bread that came with it was not worth eating. Good sourdough would be so much better. Interesting specials. Everything on the menu looked like it would be pretty good.
